- February 13>>> Israel and Iran increased a tension after a series of attacks to Israelis in the capitals of Georgia and India. The same tension increased to Iran after blaming Israel and US for the death of an Iranian nuclear scientist.
- February 26>>> Reports revealed an assassination plan against Russia’s leader Vladimir Putin was stopped.

- March 02>>> Vladimir Putin was elected as the President of Russia claiming 64% of the total votes. United States and the European Union called for investigation as they believe that Putin won because of fraud. Hundreds of protesters against Putin were imprisoned in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
- March 05>>> Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu traveled to US to meet with President Obama and discuss issues concerning Iran especially for its nuclear threat.
- March 19>>> A French man of Algerian descent killed a Rabbi and 2 of his children, and another child at a Jewish school in France. He said that he did it for the reason of committing revenge against the killing of Palestinian children.

- April 01>>> Government activist Aung San Suu Kvi of Myanmar won a seat in the country’s parliament. Kvi was released after 20 years of house arrest in October 2010.
- April 11>>> North Korea still prepared to launch ballistic missile which has violated the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

- May 01>>> Marking the 1st anniversary since the killing of Osama Bin Laden, US President Barack Obama visited Afghanistan and signed an agreement to the country’s leader President Karzai for a promise that will give assistance to Afghanistan’s development for 10 years when their troops will surrender in 2013.
- May 06>>> Francois Hollande became the president of France. Vladimir Putin also won for a presidency election for the third time despite of Anti-government protests held in Kremlin. Protesters still continued to demand for accurate and honest election results.
- May 26>>> Thirty-two children under age 10 were killed when an attack occurred in the Village of Houla in Syria. The government denied the fault and the president stated that it was the action of terrorists.

- June 02>>> Former president of Egypt Hosni Mubarak was sentenced to life imprisonment because of killing protesters during a demonstration in January 2011. A case against his corruption issues was dismissed since the statute of limitations has run-out.

- June 8- June 12>>> Tension was increased in Syria, UN declared then a civil war into the country. More people are being killed and military troops and civilians are responding actions for the increasing tension.
- June 11>>> Tennis superstars Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova brought home victory trophy after winning French open championship.
- June 24>>> Mohamed Morsi won presidential elections in Egypt.

- July 7-8, 2012>>> Roger Federer and Serena Williams grabbed the Wimbledon’s title in both single’s events. Federer was ranked as the no.1 player in the world after his win as he was the first player marked as the men’s single player champion in Great Britain since Fred Perry in 1936.
- July 7>>>Libya hold the 1st national election since Muammar Qaddafi.
- July 19>>> A gunman shot and killed 14 people at a Batman’s premiere show in Denver, Colorado, USA.
- July 27>>> summer season marked the opening of the Olympic games held in the Olympic stadium of London, England. Some 80,000 people from all over the world visited the country to support and give cheers to their pride.

- September 11>>>A Ceremony was held at the collapsed World Trade Center site in New York City to remember the 9/11/2001 attack where thousands died of the tragic event caused by a hijacked airplane crash.
- >>> US ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other embassy officials were killed in line with the outraging bursts of Muslims who were insulted to a Youtube released video “Innocence of Muslims” which depicts an irritating criticism to Islam and to their founder prophet Muhammad.
- September 13>>> More US embassies in different countries around the globe are being attacked by Muslim protesters over the Youtube film that insulted their religion.

- October 02>>> US begun operation and action to retaliate the suspects in the killing of US ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other employees.
- October 03-14>>> More retaliatory actions are being imposed by Turkey against Syria.
- October 7>>> Hugo Chavez won the Venezuela presidential election for the third time.
- October 09>>> Taliban members shoot a 14-year old girl Malala Yousafzai in the head and neck while on her way home with a bus filled with children. The incident occurred because members stated that she was so outspoken against the Talibans and is having her interest to learn more about them. She was under a critical condition and is to receive long term rehabilitation.
- October 19>>> A Christian section in Beirut, Lebanon was greatly damaged after a bomb exploded in the said area. Eight people are killed and at least 80 are wounded.

- November 01>>> One of the main allies in Syrian war, China has proposed a new resolution to end its conflict. The proposal plans not to encourage the president to step down but to unite rebels and pro-governments to have a governing body under an umbrella.
- November 05>>> Barack Obama was re-elected to be the President of US for the 2nd term with only a small gap in the number of votes to his opponent ----.
- November 11>>> Conflict between Gaza and Israel reignited.
- November 29>>> Palestinian bodies has now an approved status of non-membership to UN.
DECEMBER 2012
- December 01>>> Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi made a new constitution for the country with hundreds of thousands of supporters. On the other hand, several thousands of protesters object for the new constitution. Morsi still continued to implement the constitution despite of unrest.
- December 12>>> North Korea launched a missile that took the world a surprise. International organizations prompted a call for another sanction to the country.
- December 13>>> A gunman known to have Asperger’s disorder shoot and killed 27 people, mostly are children at an elementary school in Connecticut. The suspect killed first her mother then shoots himself after the incident in the school.
- December 20>>> Ms. Universe pageant was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. For the 8th time, USA brought home the crown from their contestant Olivia Culpo. Philippines (Janine Tugonon) placed 1st runner-up.
- December 22>>> People of Mayan descent in Mexico and in the Americas celebrated joyful triumphs over the 12-21-2012 which was believed to be the end of the world. Based on the Mayan calendar, the date marked to be the 5, 125th year of ending everything.
